Zoa: Okay, we should probably talk about class stuff. Make plans. We want you to look like a diligent, insightful, curious student. Ideally, ask some questions about Socrates that Mezzer Twofeather can springboard off of into their next topic. People like doing that, especially high-energy speechifiers like that.
LC: I assumed we'd want to keep our heads down, be as non-disruptive to the class as possible. I'd hide under the desk, if I thought that was allowed.

Zoa: Ooh, no, no, no, you wanna look like you're engaging with the material! Teachers want students that engage with material. Usually.
Doc: Lee, I think you should just be yourself. You have nothing to fear either way. Don't push yourself to ask questions if you don't feel ready. You don't have to do anything you aren't comfortable with.
LC: I don't feel comfortable going at all. Am I allowed to use one of my sick days on Day Two?

Zoa: Well... maybe don't be that comfortable, obviously.
Doc: Lee, think of Renna Yesterdawn. They ventured into the Skullvine maze because they knew being present was enough, right? The rules never specified that they had to find the exit, just that they needed to survive being in there.
LC: That... that makes sense, actually. It's probably better for me to just sit back and not make waves. More psychologically healthy for me, certainly.

Zoa: Oh, two can play at the Gu Gu reference game. What about Lance the Hawk-kin? They spoke up during the High Council meeting, despite being unwelcome, and changed the course of the Gyroscopic Kingdom!
Doc: Ah, but what about Nain-tu, who was slain by Sorcelance's guards because they couldn't keep their mouth closed?
Zoa: That doesn't count, Nain-tu was possessed!
LC: I appreciate the effort, but if you two are going to keep trying to "relate" to me like this, I'm going to have to skip school just to rewatch season one, I had totally forgotten about the Gyroscopic Kingdom subplot...
