Do you think Lee has made progress? Are they closer now to having a meaningful life than they were at the start of this webcomic? Are they more psychologically healthy? Are they more likely to make their world a better place? If some random denizen of the world of Forward could somehow read the entire archive to this point, and had the option to go back and undo the events of the first few strips, preventing Lee from meeting Zoa, leaving them alone in their apartment, do you think they'd do it? Has Lee's journey been, by any definition, "good"?

LC: Okay, so we have two options: One, I accept the CREC’s offer and move out of town to a smaller place, one that’s especially for people with mental health.
Zoa: CRGC. The CREC is an environment thing.
LC: Option two, I stay on through this semester, and then take a proper slate of courses next semester, and remain in this apartment, with two new student roommates taking up the other rooms in the unit.

LC: Well, now, hang on. Look at how much progress I’ve made in just two days! Who’s to say I wouldn’t be able to handle normal college student life, a few months hence?
Doc: Me. I say that.

Zoa: As much as I really would like to get that ESA money from Rosenthal – and continue with our wardrobe arrangement – I’m inclined to agree, and not just because I’m not allowed to pitch blowjob services to you any more.
LC: You can, I just have to turn’em down.
LC: And by “have to”, I mean that I have agreed to do so, in a non-binding sort of way.
