0378– 2167/07/07/11:31- LC’s apartment, living room
LC: Okay, but option two is still an option, yes? There’s no reason I can’t complete this course!
Doc: I think we should unpack why you’re focusing on this, Lee. Is it solely because of your connection to Zoa, or are you just more comfortable with big change in a few months, rather than small change right now?
----------------------
LC: Well, it’s not a small change either way, is it? Either way, my living situation is drastically changing, changing in a way that you know I’m not going to be comfortable with or enjoy!
Doc: If you’ve already made up your mind not to enjoy it, that’s going to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. And delaying the inevitable won’t-
LC: I know that!
----------------------
LC: God, just shut up and… and help me think of a falsifiable experiment we can run on epistemology!
Doc: A what?
LC: Epistemology! It’s about how people acquire knowledge!
Zoa: Yeah, Mezzer Twofeather assigned us some weird homework at the tail end of class. That, and to take notes on chapters one and two in the lessonbook.
Zoa: ...that might be the important bit, actually.
----------------------
LC: Right, okay, taking notes, I can do that! Where’s that mole skin?
Zoa: I’m pretty sure the mole’s skin that you ordered was subsequently sorted somewhere into one of your future roommates’ bedrooms, but I don’t think you’ll be able to take very many notes on it regardless.
Doc: I’d say you’re doing pretty well at falsifying the acquisition of knowledge, but your current circumstances may be difficult to replicate in a laboratory setting...
