0389– 2167/07/07/11:42- LC’s apartment, living room
LC: I’m serious, now! You two are going to have to get along!
Zoa: Lee, you’re aware that I’m free to just walk away from all this, right?
LC: Yep! And now that Doc can hover, we’re free to follow you!
----------------------
Doc: …I don’t like it, but I do have to point out that if Lee is choosing to only receive my psychotherapy through you, if you left, you’d be depriving them of a health service to which they are legally entitled.
LC: Mm, actually, that sounds like I’m forcing Zoa to be here against its will, which I don’t like.
Zoa: It sounds like that because that’s what it is. Also, for the record, I officially don’t have a “will”. Y’know, just so we’re clear.
----------------------
LC: Oh, whatever. You’re not leaving, are you?
Zoa: I’m not leaving at the moment, no, but I do feel compelled to mention it’s only because I’ve learned that when you make weird unilateral decrees like this, it’s like the weather: if you don’t like it, just wait.
Doc: My thoughts exactly, Zoa. If the events of the past few days have been about anything, they’ve been an example of the dangers of Lee’s inconsistency and tendency to finalize decisions while under the influence of volatile moods.
----------------------
LC: Okay, when I said you two would need to start getting along, I didn’t mean you could team up against me.
Zoa: Oh, what, are you gonna get mad and order us not to criticize your bad habits?
Doc: I approve of both your analysis and your use of sarcasm, Zoa. Enjoy the next arbitrary payment Lee throws at you, you’ve earned it.
