The dialogue callback thing is a little different when a character is doing it on purpose.

OT: Sorry, Lee. I tried. Don't worry, I'll take it easy on you in class... at least, as much as I'm able, in a way that's fair to the other students.
LC: I wanna go home.
Zoa: I'll get you back to the apartment.
OT: I gotta get going, there's a class I teach in Zeta block, I need to get set up. You're good?
LC: I'm just going to sit here for a few minutes.
Zoa: That's... not really conducive to going home, but you can do that. Yeah, Mezzer Twofeather, yeah, I'd say we're good.
LC: Zoa?
Zoa: Yeah?
LC: You're getting that five grand, aren't you?
Zoa: Yeah.
LC: Good. That's yours and you're earning it, don't let anyone tell you different.
Zoa: Lee, I'm a machine. I'm a synthetic simulacrum of a mouth and esophagus, with a bipedal support structure wrapped around it. One wrong line of code, and I'd forget everything about you. Please don't actually get attached to me.
LC: Too late.
LC: Also, last I checked, you neither own me nor are renting my services, so you don't get to tell me what to do.
LC: So there.
